But now due to the big change in the prices, the Core i3 10100 can be found for only $100 where as the cheapest Ryzen 3 third gen CPU is around $200. Also the H410 motherboard for the i3 is cheaper than the cheapest B450 motherboard for Ryzen 3, this makes the i3 10100 a great choice for gaming and productivity under a budget.

It is a great choice for anyone under $100. This CPU performs very similar (a little bit better) to Ryzen 3 3100 in gaming. It can handle even a RTX 2060 SUPER easily at 1080p resolution and can stream too. This CPU does a great job in productivity tasks as well as in gaming. You can stream while gaming or render high quality videos easily with it.
If you are going to buy a budget gaming and productivity pc then i will suggest using the CPU in it for now until new budget CPUs launch.
