Apple Discontinues iPod, Google to launch Pixel 6a in India

Apple Discontinues iPod Line-up

Apple has officially announced that it will be discontinuing the iPod series on 10 May, 2022. From a MP3 music player, it turned to almost like a mobile phone with touch screen on which we can listen to music, play games, watch movies and do what we could do with a mobile phone. In its life-span of 21 years Apple sold over 450 Million iPods worldwide.

On 23 October, 2001 Apple launched the the first iPod which was an MP3 player that could load 1000 songs. iPod series remained as a music player people used to listen to songs whenever and wherever they wanted. A compacted body and good battery made it a good choice for music lovers. iPod was improved in 28 May, 2019 when Apple launched iPod Touch, the biggest and most powerful iPod.

Apple decided to discontinue this line-up as all the capabilities of  an iPod were in any other Apple product from iPhone, iPad to even the Apple Watch. This is also because as an iPod is completely irrelevant in 2022 and manufacturing more of these will only be a loss to Apple as the features of an iPod are available in any mobile you can find.
