Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 Series Release Date, Price, Specs, Rumours

Nvidia is expected to launch GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs which would be the  successor to the current-gen GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs but we don't exactly know when will this happen as Nvidia hasn't said anything related to this release.

AMD is almost ready to launch its new RDNA 3 GPU by this year, so Nvidia might also be releasing its RTX 4000 GPUs around the same time. There are no official leaks from Nvidia about these GPUs but it is claimed that Nvidia might launch its next-generation GPU family codenamed Ada Lovelace this fall.

Release date and Price

Nvidia has been releasing its GPUs after 2-years of the last launch, this has been going on since the launch of GeForce GTX 900 series and Nvidia mostly releases its GPUs after the mid half of a year from June-September like seen in past few launches.

This is why these new GPUs might be launched before October this year but Nvidia might also postpone this to Q1 of next year due to the chip shortage but that might not happen.

The pricing of GPUs has been affected severely due to this chip shortage. So Nvidia might increase the prices of RTX 4000 GPUs up-to 10%. Last year we saw that the GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs we a little bit cheaper than their RTX 2000 counterpart.

Specifications

Nvidia hasn't leaked the RTX 4000 specs but some leaks say that this series would be codenamed Ada Lovelace. The Ada Lovelace microarchitecture will be processed on a 5nm fabrication process which is a giant leap from the 8nm Ampere  chips. 5nm chips will provide more performance but for less power.

Leaks suggest that graphics cards such as the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080, which will likely use the flagship AD102 GPU die, might come with 71% more Cuda cores than RTX 3000. It is also said that AD102 GPU would come on a frequency of 2.2 GHz.

The RTX 4070 which would be released after the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 would use the AD103 GPU die, we don't know anything about RTX 4060 or RTX 4050 but they will use a more weaker AD104 or AD105 GPU.

These Ada Lovelace GPUs are expected to come with over 700w TGP, due to which will have to use a bigger PSU. Here are the leaked Specifications.

Performance

Nvidia hasn't leaked any of its benchmark of GeForce RTX 4000 GPUs but some leakers claim that RTX 4090 would be twice as powerful as the RTX 3090 in almost every task. Even though the GPUs are processed on a 5nm process, RTX 4000 GPUs will draw more power than RTX 3000 GPUs to provide more power.

What do you think is twice the power consumption worth for twice the performance. What do you think these GPUs would cost, hope this time scalpers and chip shortage won't increase the price by 2 times.

If you had any doubts, then please let me know.
