Ryzen 5 2600 | Specs, Price, Performance with benchmarks

AMD released the Ryzen 5 2600 in April 19, 2018 which was a Second Generation Processor from AMD Ryzen 5 lineup. It was launched to fight-back Intel's new Ninth Generation CPU's especially the Core i5 9400 F which was itself a great value for price. It was launched at the Price-Range of $190 - $200 and it provided a great value for both Gamers and Streamers. Now today when the Prices have dropped to $150 - $170, is it still an amazing CPU. A Short while ago, I uploaded a blog on the comparison of Intel Core i5 9400F and AMD Ryzen 5 2600 you can see it as I reviewed the Ryzen 5 2600 on it.

The Ryzen 5 2600 was launched about 2 and a half years ago but the specifications are pretty good even for today's purposes. Even though Ryzen 5 3600 and some Intel CPU's have been launched which provide more performance for some more money. Is purchasing a new Ryzen 5 2600 a good idea or a bad one? We'll just it down in the benchmarks.

Benchmarks

For the Benchmarks, I have paired the Ryzen 5 2600 with an Radeon RX 5600 XT ( you can go upto a RX 5700 XT but it will cause some bottlenecks ) and 16 GB of dual channel memory @3000 MHz. Cinebench R15 and 5 games are tested at ultra settings on 1920x1080p resolution.

The Ryzen 5 2600 scored 1310 points in Cinebench R15 Multi Core tests which is really good for streaming and stuff and in single Core tests it scored 164 points which are also good for normal level gaming. In the games there was no stutter or bottleneck and all games were having nearly 100+ FPS on ultra settings on 1080p resoltion.

From this anyone would have an idea whether it is good or bad and according to me, in whose country the prices of 3rd gen Ryzen CPU's has reached sky it is amazing. First of all it comes in budget, then it is all rounder CPU unlike Intel and third if you are going to do normal gaming and streaming then this is a TRUE BEAST.

If you had any doubts, then please let me know.
