AMD Ryzen 5 1600 | Specs, Price, Performance with Benchmarks

The Ryzen 5 1600 was launched by AMD in mid 2017 and it was from the first generation of new Ryzen CPUs which were based on the new ZEN Micro-architecture.
                                                  

This CPU came for $200 - $220 which was around the same price as the Seventh generation Core i5 7600 from Intel. It has now another variant which is based on 12 nm lithography Process called the Ryzen 5 1600 AF which performs significantly better.


This CPU now comes at the price of $90. It is based on ZEN Micro-architecture and fabricated on 14 nm lithography process. It has 6 ZEN cores which can be overclocked upto 3.6 GHz. It has the support of simultaneously Multithreading/Hyperthreading  which means it has 12 logical cores/threads.


This CPU comes with 16 MB of L3 cache and 65W TDP. This CPU supports the AM4 socket  for Ryzen, Athlon and 7th generation A-Series APUs. You can pair it with Motherboards like A320, A350, B450 and all others. To keep in mind it does not comes with an integrated graphics, so make sure to pair it with a dedicated GPU.




The tests below are shown by the Ryzen 5 1600 @3.6 GHz paired with Radeon RX 570 and 16 GB 3200 MHz dual channel memory.
