This Amazing SmartPhone's price dropped from Rs 47,999 to Rs 24,999

Samsung Galaxy 20 FE 5G launched on 31 March 2021 in India for 47,999 INR was the Snapdragon variant of the previously launched Samsung Galaxy S20 4G with the Exynos 990 swapped with a Snapdragon 865. Samsung S20 FE 5G was the same mobile as Samsung S20 4G but with a 5G Snapdragon chipset which was a lot more powerful and solved the heating and battery drain issues in S20 4G. This model is listed as SM-G781B/DS (G781B).

Apart from the chipset, it is the same as S20 4G and now it is available for 29,999 INR on amazon and you can get it for 24,999 INR if you have an Axis Bank Credit Card. It is almost a year and a half old but the price drop makes this phone a good choice for many. Here’s how

Since it was launched as a budget model of the flagship Samsung S20 Series, it still has the same flagship features as any other S series Samsung device which are the IP68 water and dust resistance rating, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging support which you cannot get in any other device under 30K INR. Its dimensions are 159.8 x 74.5 x 8.4 mm.

Apart from that It comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. You’re also getting a 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired charging and software security with enhanced Knox Security. It has a 12MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS followed by a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with a 123-degree field-of-view and an 8MP telephoto lens with OIS. For selfies, we get a 32MP camera.

We have used this device for a pretty long time and after comparing it with phones like IQOO NEO 6 and Nothing Phone 1, we have come to the conclusion that its overall camera setup is almost the best in the under 30K segment with a good primary camera which clicks great photos and its Ultra-wide lens in the best in under 30K price which also supports 4K video recording. You can also click some good selfies under bright conditions but may see problems under low light conditions.

Its display might be a problem for some due to its slightly big bezels but once you get used to it you won’t find many problems. Its Infinity-O display has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and an 800 nits peak brightness. The display also houses an optical fingerprint scanner. Its back is made of polycarbonate with the cameras residing in a large housing towards the corner.

Its Snapdragon 865 is a 5G ready processor which is a powerful chipset that provides around 643,000 scores in Antutu benchmark and 890 single-core and 3270 multi-core scores in Geekbench. The phone feels very smooth for any tasks you throw at it, thanks to the fast read and write speed of the storage and the 120Hz refresh rate.

You can find a better processor on devices like Poco F4 and IQOO NEO 6 but it's One UI 4.1 with android 12 feels much snappier and smoother than MIUI and Funtouch OS which is more user-friendly than others. The sd 865 is still a very powerful processor to do any task or for playing any games. The quality of sound and loudness is very good thanks to the stereo speaker setup provided in this device.

We played a lot of games on this device and you can play almost every game on the highest settings and get a smooth experience, you will experience some heating are playing games on it after an hour or so. The 4,500mAh can easily give you a SOT of around 6.5-7 hours on medium usage. You can easily spend a whole day with it if you only do light tasks like watching videos/movies, attending calls, and reading anything on the web. You get a 15-watt charger in the box which charges the device in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In short, it is a really good device that feels more premium than others in this and provides great performance thanks to its sd 865 and its camera set it is a great one but we might not get an android 14 update as Samsung promised only 3 years worth update but some sources claim this variant will see an android 14. This phone is still a great choice for anyone who wants to experience a premium phone by Samsung on a budget.
