The best Gaming PC under $250 in 2020

The Best Gaming PC under $250 that you can buy from Amazon!

Sometime ago I did a PC build on the best Gaming PC under $350 and now I think about going a bit lower in price and doing a cheaper build of $250.

The prices of computer hardware have risen pretty much now so if your budget is around this point i would prefer buying used parts for the PC.

Here's the best PC build that you can do under $350 that you can build yourself now with parts included.

See it is not going to be a Ultra 4K gaming and editing PC, it is a budget med-end PC that can play most of the games at 1080p medium settings smoothly and do your editing and productivity work. I will give you a link to you so that you can buy the parts easily.

1. Processor

Here the CPU that we are going to use would be Athlon 3000G from AMD. It is a dual core APU that comes with integrated Radeon Vega 3 graphics. The CPU is based on the ZEN microarchitecture and processed on 14nm Lithography process. The APU can be easily overclocked to 3.9GHz with the Vega 3 graphics to 1650MHz.

It has a TDP of 35W and L3 cache of 4MB. It can be paired with any AM4 socket motherboard (except the 500 series chipset and above). It can support upto 32GB 2667 MHz RAM.

The CPU is really good as most of the better CPUs are unavailable currently. The 2 cores are just okay to handle normal games and some AAA titles and as we are not going to pair it with a discrete GPU then the Vega 3 graphics is going to do everything. Yes, you can do some light video editing, streaming, etc.

It currently costs $49.

2. Motherboard

As we are going to use a ZEN APU the we have to use a AM4 socket motherboard and as for our budget we are going with the Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H which is a very basic AM4 socket motherboard. Nothing special, this motherboard supports all Ryzen CPUs and 7th gen A series CPUs.

It supports dual channel 3200 MHz 32GB memory, PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 with PCIe NVMe & SATA mode support. Its dimensions are 2.76 x 0.79 x 0.2 inches, its a Micro ATX motherboard.

It just does the work and costs for $55

3. Memory

In this build we are going to pair the APU with 2x4 sticks of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM. We are using dual channel memory as it benefits the APU the most, it performs almost double than single channel.

One stick costs $17, hence here $34 were used for buying RAM.

4. Power Supply Unit

For PSU we have chosen a 400W PSU from EVA which good. There was not any other branded PSU available at this cost and for not burning our PC I went with it.

It costs $37.

5. Storage

For storage we will buy a 500GB HDD, you can buy a SDD as they are faster but i am going with a HDD as a 240GB SSD costs $45 which is more than a 500GB HDD. Still you can buy a 240GB SSD if you want to.

The HDD costs $35

6. Cabinet

Finally we are going to buy a cabinet for our pc components. For the cabinet we are going to buy a $35 DEEPCOOL MATREXX 30,Mini-Tower,M-ATX/Mini-ITX in which we will fit everything. Everything will easily fit in it and the ventilation is also okay.

We could have gone with cheaper cabinets but Amazon was not providing good cabinets at the time, so you can try getting a cheap cabinet from local or some other site.

Those were all the parts of our pc build, this pc is made for gaming and some other normal purposes. You can play at 60FPS on 720p low-medium settings in most of the games, you can definitely play at 60+ FPS on low 1080p settings in games like CS GO, Valorant, etc and to you can also play on Ultra settings at 720P resolution.

This pc is not made for heavy video editing and streaming but it can handle the tasks if paired with another 8GB Memory stick. I won't recommend you doing any of the heavy tasks on it

This whole pc build costed around $241.
